SALARY: Starting from $85,000/year

PAY CYCLE: Weekly/Bi-Weekly, depending on hiring terms

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Advance Nursing Services recruits on behalf of Holliday’s Helping Hands which is an organization that cares for homeless families and individuals - We support the cause and fight to end homelessness! Our jobs focus on providing interim housing, nourishing meals, and safe locations to empower our clients to find their “Journey to Home.”

Core Responsibilities

  • Observe client behavior, assess needs and create treatment strategies

  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners to address concerns related to mental health and/or substance usage to ensure safety, wellness, and housing acquisition

  • Provide crisis interventions when necessary, observe and monitor behavior when related to the mental health of clients

  • Diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders

  • Supervise and lead the work of assigned MSWs & Case Managers

  • Assume clinical supervisory role at the site

  • Consult with doctors, therapists and medical professionals

  • When necessary, initiates procedure for 72-hour detention hospital facilities

  • Complete required documentation and paperwork including assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner

  • Administer social service programs

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications or Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field from accredited university

  • Valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California

  • Demonstrates knowledge of case management and issues affecting formerly homeless residents with disabilities (severe mental illness, substance abuse, physical disability, and chronic illness including HIV/AIDS)

  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively in a Harm Reduction environment

  • Working knowledge of government and community aid programs

  • Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences

  • Experience working with the homeless, substance abuse, mental health/ with dual diagnosis population

  • Work at a traditional housing facility

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred

  • As required by the County of Los Angeles, all ANS employees are required to be fully vaccinated or to have an approved medical or religious exemption by the Company.
